This week has been more full on than most. Yesterday I had the first monthly review meeting with our customer since my team started in November. In the lead up to this I have worked in the evenings every day this week because of the increased amount there was to get done. This is tiring. The first night not so bad, the second, ok I’m a bit tired now and the third, ok my eyes are actually stinging.
But, the meeting went well. Always lots to do but after 5 hours in a room the general consensus was that we were doing a good job.
So all this has meant my fitness routine has been a bit all over the place as I’ve been so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open, (yet couldn’t sleep, how annoying.)
That said here I haven’t given in and I have plenty to tell you about in my first week on the Graduate Plan!
This was workout 3 at 6.30am- a really tough one with burpee tuck jumps, something I’ve never done before. At the time they were ok, but unfortunely during the course of the day my ribs felt like someone had repeatedly kicked them! By the evening I was in pain just standing up so spent most of it laying around taking painkillers! Nasty Grad Plan 😄
However I still managed to cook this chicken and lemon dish which everyone enjoyed.
I was so tired from the previous day I didn’t get up early to work out. Instead after a busy day at work I came home and did it right away. At the same time T completed 20 minutes of dancing to kids workouts.
I felt so much better and made us stuffed sweet potatoes and eggs, T actually asked for more she enjoyed it so much!
This was a 20 minute abs workout before work- I was shattered from working in the evening but still wanted to do something. But, I didn’t feel like I had earned my dinner so when i got in I did 20 minutes of workout 2 from the Grad Plan just while my dinner was cooking!
Lunch was this lovely parmesan cheese chicken, adapted slightly from the recipe as I only had rocket to go with it but it was still very tasty.
Well this is what happens when you leave Scott to cook dinner- he meets me from work with T and we go to Frankie and Bennies! It was rest day for me, luckily as I don’t think I had the willpower for exercise after the longest meeting of my life, so I kept it healthy and could only manage half my jacket potato.
Today I’m planning to do workout 1 again. Friday nights I workout after T has gone to her Dads so tonight it will be after we are back from riding then I’m planning to cook Singapore noodles for dinner.
I’m really focusing on my form on my upper body at the moment and am not bothered that I have had to drop my weights for some of the exercises this week as it gives me something to aim towards. These workouts are tough and I have to start somewhere!
So far the food on the Graduate Plan has been really tasty! Lunch today was omelette with gryuere cheese and chives and I have made these raspberry muffins as one of my snacks!
So that’s my wrap of food and fitness for the week,in other news T won shining star this week at school so I’m a very proud Mumma 😊
