Food, family and fitness!

Hi everyone!

I hope you’ve all had a good week, mine has been pretty uneventful with working most 4 days out of 5 and it being half term. But it has to be done and at least it’s nearly over and I can stop feeling guilty!

Here is my week in food and fitness!

Monday

I was pleased to get back to my workout routine after a weekend away and smashed my Monday kettlebell session.

This strawberry and vanilla topped bagel was lunch, I have one word, delicious!

And this was dinner, homemade beef meatballs πŸ˜‹

Tuesday

Another great workout in the bag and this yoghurt was one of my snacks on Tuesday. Dinner was homemade pizza with a cauliflower base! It was ok, it just didn’t taste completely like normal pizza, but my lovely family still ate it 😊

So in the evening this happened:

I went onto Instagram and there was Joe Wicks only talking to random people live! I commented on his post saying I was really enjoying the plan and the next thing I knew I was talking live on Instagram to the man himself πŸ˜‚ So it seems keeping your cool when suddenly presented with your fitness idol to talk to is much harder than you think! A few people have said I did really well and was certainly positive about his plans, if a little too positive πŸ˜„ He also had a little chat with T which was so cute, she now thinks he is definitely coming to her school on his schools tour bless her!

Obviously I had to do a workout after I spoke to him so this was my Tuesday

Wednesday

I was tired Wednesday morning but pushed on and got through my workout feeling motivated from the day before! Dinner was home made hash browns, bacon and poached egg, yummy.

Thursday

How I was ready for rest day and my day off, I spent it drinking coffee with Scott and T in Dobbies, food shopping, walking Poppy in the sunshine and sitting in Activity World while T and her friend ran round like loonys.

This was dinner, slightly hot but still very tasty.

Friday

This was a bit of a rubbish day because I had to work all day from home so could see Scott and T having fun making bath bombs and couldn’t join in! After Scott left for work at lunch time T amused herself until I finished at 3, finally time for her to have some fun I thought. Off we went to what turned out to be the worst riding lesson she has had in a long time! Two ponies, one fall and one canter down a massive hill!

I was ready to smash this workout by the time I finally got to it and smash it I did with a PB in the final round! 😁

Nothing like having dinner cooked for you by your best friend while you workout too!

This was well deserved πŸ˜„

Saturday

Today I completed my final work out of the week, a 20 minute abs session. It felt good and what was even better was Scott came home just after having WON the park run!! πŸ˜πŸŽ‰

How did we celebrate?

We took Poppy for a walk πŸ˜‚

Breakfast was this pecan and maple porridge

Lunch this roasted veg bagel

And dinner was Teryiaki salmon!

I spent some of my afternoon making more of this delicious banana bread which made my house smell amazing 😊

Tomorrow I’m looking forward to getting T back, trying a new salad for lunch, watching Ireland play πŸ€and hopefully a good walk with Poppy in the sun.

  1. Way to go on the PB! Looks like you’re doing great! And how exciting that you got to talk to Joe Wicks! What kind of watch is that? Looks so classy compared to other fitness trackers.

  2. What an exciting week, speaking to Joe Wicks. I’ve watched a couple of his HIIT for beginners videos – watching counts towards exercise doesn’t it?! πŸ™‚
    Your food all looks very healthy and delicious. I’ve just eaten two mini Snickers. Not so healthy. 😦

    1. I know, we were so excited 😊 He does some low impact videos too, you should have a look at them. Thank you, it’s been a particularly good food week and now it’s pay day I can buy even more yummy things 😁How sad am I getting excited about pay day so I can try new recipes! How times have changed πŸ˜‚I am jealous of your snickers, one day I will be able to eat them again without them getting stuck in my braces πŸ˜‚
