Food, family and fitness!

Hey everyone! This week I have been pretty preoccupied with Scott’s birthday surprise 😁 Last night me and T pulled off a surprise meal with 15 of our friends for his birthday which is in just over a weeks time. He thought we were going bowling together just us three, which we did, and then for some food. His face when he realised everyone else was there was a picture 😁 There was a fair bit of organising to do so I felt like my brain was overloaded with things to remember at times, BUT, we pulled it off and I’m so happy he enjoyed it 😁

The rest of my week has been on track and workouts have been on point! I have just over a week to go on the Graduate Plan and can feel myself getting stronger all the time! It really is amazing just how much committing to regular exercise and eating well can change your mindset, body confidence, outlook on life, focus as well as your body shape and strength!

On Tuesday I decided to up my weights, the last big push before I graduate this plan, 7kg to 9.5kg.(I finished the original 90 day plan on this weight but until now have been too scared to move up on this plan because the workouts just kept getting tougher and tougher!)

Well I did it! πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ I managed my whole 35 minute workout with these badboys! And then had to have an unscheduled rest day Wednesday because I couldn’t move my arms πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ But, this didn’t stop me and Thursday I was back on it, the whole workout completed yet again but this time I scheduled the rest day for the following day knowing I would need it.

Today I smashed my 45 minute workout all the way through with these same weights and I’ve never felt stronger 😁 I’ve got a scratchy sore throat and I know I’m coming down with something but I feel epic! Like I just completed a marathon or something πŸ˜‚ When really all I’ve done is one week of heavier weights! It’s the little things hey!

I’ve made some really great recipes this week too, here are a few of my favourites.

Cheese stuffed burger
Mini mushroom pizzas- ham, cheese and herbs on a large mushroom baked for 15 minutes, delish!
Brocolli and goats cheese fritata

Super seed smoothie- needed this morning after the indulgence of that chocolate cake last night!
Breakfast bagel, but I had it for lunch πŸ˜„

In other news T got an honours in her first ever musical theatre exam 😊

Scott ran under 17minutes in the park run this morning, coming 4th!

And I have cleaned the house to within an inch of its life and prepped up all the food I need to so I can have a lovely relaxing mothers day tomorrow! Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Thanks for reading,

Lou x
