Food, family and fitness update with one week to go until we fly!

Hi everyone! I hope you have all had a great week! I have and it has flown by with a bank holiday and a day out of the office in meetings as well as it being half term!I’ve been busy trying new recipes this week these chocolate protein bars were from The Bodycoach blog as I fancied trying something different. They are so nice with a coffee in the evening and have prevented us eating Easter eggs all week!

This was after being out of the house all day from 7.30am and about 5 hours in the car, I was craving healthy and nutritious food so got in and got going with this beauty of a Jamie Oliver recipe!

Happy times when it’s time for my My Protein delivery! This time I tried the Flavadrops these can be used in yoghurt, protein powder, coffee, on ice cream and have 0 calories and 0 sugar!

So I’ve tried toffee latte and coconut yoghurt and both were absolutely delicious! I honestly just want to eat all day now so I can try them in lots of different things šŸ˜‚I thought I would try some BCAA just because I needed to chuck something small in my basket to get the free shaker, not that I needed another shaker šŸ™ˆ but it was worth it because it was so tasty! That said I wont be adding it to my routine though, at the end of the day I’m a Mummy on a budget and another supplement on every workout day would just prove too expensive.

My fitness plan is almost complete again this week šŸ˜ I’ve had to get up earlier twice this week so I could fit in my workouts but I’ve felt so determined and after a couple of days I’ve now started to wake up at 5.45 every day šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

This has been my little fitness plan this week

Monday- 35 mins HIIT and glutes

Tuesday- 30 mins weighted HIIT & 30 mins abs

Wednesday- 35 minute weighted HIIT

Thursday – 15 mins abs

Friday – 20 mins resistance bands & 35 mins weighted HIIT

I have left to do

Saturday- 30 mins weighted session and 10 mins abs

Sunday – 15 mins resistance bands

Here is some back progress from today, if you think you don’t have time, you do! I work 4 days a week and am a busy Mumma but fit this in because I love it and it makes me feel strong, happy and amazing! šŸ˜Š

But on the flip side there is balance, we spent the afternoon at our friends on Monday and I ended up eating a takeaway pizza which was not planned at all. At first I felt frustrated I had to eat something unhealthy and annoyed I had gone “off plan” before my holiday. Then I realised one meal is not going to make any difference to months of hard work! Relax and enjoy life, even if you do have goals, you have to also learn to enjoy the journey šŸ˜Š

Finally T has been a little star this week and has been here there and everywhere while I have worked 4 out of 5 days of half term. Here she is riding at her pony picnic earlier this week and earlier today for her lesson.

and a walk she took with Scott today while I worked

Scott has also been busy working on our garden this week and we finally have two new fences! Our next project is to build some decking in the space at the end of the garden but that will come after our holiday. I’m really excited to see the garden start to transform this summer and cant wait to be able to entertain friends and family in our new space!
