Back from Kos πŸ˜Š

Hi guys,

I know it’s been a while since I last posted but I have to say it’s been a combination of things, firstly I’ve been on holiday with my little family 😊 We have only been back a few days and it’s been tough playing catch up with life.

Secondly I’ve been having a bit of doubt that anyone even enjoys or finds this blog useful of worthwhile reading anymore! Tough admitting that after 3 years of writing it but I’m having serious doubts about whether to continue posting & my content in general.

Thirdly I’ve been having so many tech issues with media each time I do post lately it has been putting me off posting!

Anyway, here I am so let’s start with my holiday! We travelled to Kos for 7 nights and stayed on the North of the Island in Mastachari. Our hotel was pretty isolated but luckily it was probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in for activities and pools so we just didn’t want to leave!

It was with Tui Magic Life which is an activity based holiday program anyway so we knew there would be a lot going on but we were surprised at how much we actually took part in! We did kayaking in the sea 3 times, archery, tennis, aqua fit, cocktail making, a family quiz and late night walk around the hotel, a silent disco, volleyball, and Scott even got out on the windsurfer 3 times!

Even with the place being so amazing we didn’t want to leave we did venture into Kos town by bus one day and walked around the Old Town which was as expected, cute, cobbled and full of lovely little shops. The harbour was also so pretty and I was really pleased we stumbled upon the Tree of Hypocraties and some Roman ruins!

I used the gym twice early in the morning when everyone was asleep and as usual loved walking through the hotel at that time of day and often stood on the beach for a few minutes on my own just admiring the peacefulness. Scott went for one run early morning but we didn’t overdo our fitness because 1, this isn’t what our family holiday is about and 2, we were doing on average 15k steps every day because of all the swimming!

We had the best week and I’m so sad it’s over but have been trying to remain positive since I got back!

I have a load more photos I wanted to show you but WordPress wont upload them for some reason!

Since I’ve been back I’ve done one day at work, which because it was from home and all I could see around me was holiday washing and housework that needed doing really stressed me out!

I’ve also been to the orthodontist for my 4 week check, nothing to report, gaps still closing nicely, back again in another 4 weeks!

T had her sports day too which was great. She makes me proud every day with her dedication and willingness to keep trying even when she isn’t the best at something. It was the same with tennis on holiday, at the start of the lesson she was really struggling but by the end she was getting the ball over the net most times! Her team didn’t win sports day but she did great in all her events and it was great to be able to watch her.

Today I have a team building event with work, completely paid for from 2-11pm I’m going to take part in a load of games, ie bucking bronco, team scalextric, and have a bbq and disco after. Its one of those things that will only be as good as you make it so I’m going to go and be open minded to it all and hopefully it will be fun.

I hope you all have a great weekend

Thanks for reading

Lou x

    1. Thank you, I think I am just at a loss with my writing at the moment because I am in between a lot of things & life doesn’t seem very exciting. I dont think I want to leave this lovely little place, I just need to find my mojo again.

  2. I love your blog! 😍 Please don’t stop. I know WordPress can have issues. I also had to upload sometimes again the pictures because they didn’t load. Beautiful pictures! You all look so happy and with a beautiful tan! I’m glad you all enjoyed πŸ’• You deserve it.

  3. I enjoy reading your blog too (even though your amazing self motivation for exercise makes me feel very guilty) (as she munches on another chocolate biscuit!) I like reading blogs from people with different life styles to me, and whose lives are not “picture perfect”. As FF said – it’s okay not to be bright-and-breezy, and those posts when you are introspective are really interesting and helpful. I’d be sad if you stopped blogging, but you must do as you feel is right.
